HQ 321st BG Mission Summary (Ops Order 362/mission 361) Group Mission # 321:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------321st BG Mission No 321 Date: 31 May 44 No A/C completing mission: 20Squadrons: 445-10 446-10 447-0 448-0Target: Cave Bridge.Time OFF: T.O.T.: Time Down: 20 A/C took off to bomb Cave Bridge. RESULTS: Direct hits were reported on both bridges results of good concentration. Majority of bombs on N. bridge seemed to fall on W. end and approaches. One plane hit after target—two chutes seen in vicinity of G-2354. Plane landed at Nettuno. OPPOSITION ENCOUNTERED: Heavy, moderate, and fairly accurate from all around target area. Flak experienced over G-2256, G-1558, and Palestrina. PLANES LOST: One landed at Nettuno. PLANES HOLED: Three.
