Clinton Loftin Watts was my father. He was shot down over Amsterdam and injured in the crash. The underground got all crew members out but my dad and the pilot. The story was , the pilot was shot and my dad was taken into custody. He was a prisoner of war in a German Prisoner of War Camp for a year. The prisoners lived mainly on raw turnips and water. When the Germans were in a good mood they got some bread! I just thank God he wasn't in the Japanese camp !!!
