Oneal John T Archer (1912-1999) - Find a Grave Memorial

Oneal J.T. Archer, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, February 13, 1999. He is survived by is wife of 62 years, Frances Archer and family.

WWII veteran; he enlisted on 12 Oct 1940 and served 28 years in the United States Air Force. He was on the first flight of "The B-29 Raid" over Japan on 29 November 1944.

Pictured with aircrew of the B-29 Superfortress tail #42-24592 "Little Gem" A-Square-4, on 4 December 1944 stationed at Isely Field on Saipan in the Mariana Islands with the 869th Bomber Squadron of the 497th Bomb Group (VH), 73rd Bomb Wing, XXI Bomber Command, 20th Air Force.

Interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Family requests memorial contributions be made to Sandia Hospice, 4775 Indian School Rd. NE 87110. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
