This is very bizarre. My Uncle, Philip John Hopfner, lived in Douglas County Minnesota during WWII but he was born in Douglas County in 1914, had 1 year of college, was married with one child, was not in the US Army but was in the Civil Air Patrol. It seems highly unlikely to me that someone of Japanese ethnicity born in the Philippines would have the name of Hopfner and being born in 1841 would still be alive in WWII. This record is very suspect.
