Dean Clifford Forburger born 12 March 1917 in Momence, Illinois to Charles Albert and Lillian Elizabeth (Butterfield) Forburger.

Enlisted as a Private in the Army Air Corps on 2 June 1941 at Detroit, Michigan.

Finished his Advanced aviation cadet flying training at Victorville AAF, California; receiving his wings and commission as a Second Lieutenant in the USAAF.

In June 1942, he was assigned to Combat Training Crew School at Hendricks Field near Sebring, Florida.

In September 1943, flew the B-24E Liberator with the 88th BTS at Kirtland Field, New Mexico.

In October 1944, underwent B-29 aircraft transition assigned to 505th Bombardment Group (VH), 482nd Bomb Squadron stationed at Harvard AAF near Hastings, Nebraska.

In December 1944, deployed to North Field on Tinian in the Mariana Islands.

NOTE: Dean C. Forburger survived the War, but "Deaner Boy" did not. B-29 aircraft serial #42-24815 (tail fin: K Triangle 17) was lost in a mid-air collision on 10 Feb 1945 near Ota, Japan.
