Claron enlisted at Trenton, NJ and had completed 2 years of high school. He is White, a US Citizen and was accepted into the Army Air Corps with mechanical qualifications. He would become the Crew Chief of the B-25 SHUG #44-28271, Tail N-70 of the 321st Bomb Group, 448th Bomb Squadron, B-25 Mitchells in the Mediterranean Theatre during WWII.
