A document that I found and copied from Cornelious Beazleys' probate records, located at the Keystone Kin Library, Monticello, Jefferson County, Florida, States, “Re Tallahassee March 14th 1860 of J.S. Rust Ext. Of Est C Beazly Twenty Four Dollars for Two Months services as Overseer of Plantation in 1859 - Jasper Wheeler” (See Uploaded Image). On the 1859 Taylor County, Florida Tax Rolls J N Whellor is taxed as, 1 21 year old and up, along side his father Z G Whellor. He is also on the 1860 Taylor County, Florida Tax Rolls, Jasper N is taxed as 1 21 year old and up, along side his father Z G wheeler. Referencing the Soldiers of Florida serving in the Confederate States Army in The War Between the States, 1861 - 1865, Wheeler, J. N. Brigade I Company l Regiment 2. Private joined up 29 June 1861 at Madison; promoted to 5th Sergeant and 1st Sergeant, killed 6 May 1864. Apparently the Florida 2nd Infantry Company l was known as the “Madison Rangers”. Jasper N Wheeler was killed in the Battle of Wilderness II, 6 May 1864.
