Lt Theodore Wright was a Pilot in WWI, in the B-25 Mitchell Medium 321st Bomb Group, the 446th Bomb Squad.

He flew his first Mission on 5 June, 1943 against Pantelleria.

Lt Wright with his Ship and Crew crashed at sea 5 July, 1943, shot-down in the B-25 the "Hell's Angel" #43-32432 by "Heavy and accurate Flak".

He completed his 50th Mission on the 10 Jan. 1944 Mission to San Benedetto Marshalling Yards, Italy and was wounded in the face that required medical attention.

5 June, '43 446th BS Mission Summary: (Ops Order 51/mission 50) Group Mission # 63: Group mission 50, Sqdn 42 composed of 12 planes led by Lt. Griffith, who led the Group with Major Schwane as co-pilot. The target was Pantelleria gun emplacements. Target well covered and flak was intense, heavy, but inaccurate.

446th BS Mission Summary: (Ops Order 69/mission 68) Group Mission # 81: Groupmission 68, Sqdn 59 composed of 10 planes led by Capt. Griffith. The target was the Gerbini L/G #6, Sicily. 300 lb bombs were carried but only one corner of the field was hit. Flak was heavy and accurate, but there were no fighters. Lt. Bradley’s plane was hit by flak and he was forced to land it in the sea. S/Sgt. Sheldon received a broken leg and S/Sgt. Lovell received cuts on his face. The crew was picked up by a British ASR launch and taken to Malta. Capt. Griffith’s plane was also badly hit by flak and S/Sgt. Billy Dykes was injured by it.

Type of Bombs: 500 lb. 446th Planes: 6

Lt. Fraser, 447th Sqdn, led the formation. Falconara, the primary target, was found to have a 0/10 cloud coverage. At the alternate, both choke points of M/Y reported hit. Direct hit reported on large red-topped building. Six ships dropped bombs just off shore. Flak was both heavy and light, immoderate, intensely, generally trailing. Lt. Wright was hit on the side of the face by flak after coming off the target, and required medical attention.
