Source: Statutory Declaration in the matter of the Birth of Normon Colson (sometimes Colton) peatman Dated January 12th 1942

"I Arthur (Earnest?) Peatman of the city of Toronto in the county of York do solumly declare that

1. That I am the brother of the same Normon Colson Peatman and have in my possesion the family Bible.

2. In the said family Bible there is inscribed in my father's handwriting the fact that Normon Colson Peatman was born at Montreal, in the Providence of Quebec Canada, on the fourteenth day of March 1878.

3. My father (William Peatman) was born at Long bennet in Lincolnshiire England and my mother (Fan(e)y Burke) born in Dublin Ireland.

and I make this solemn declaration conscientiosly believing it to be true and knowing that it is of the same force and effect as it made under oath and by the virtue of "The Canada Evidence Act"

Declared before me at the City of Toronto in the Country of York this 12th day of January A.D. 1942"

And it is also signed with his signature.
