George Shiras, Jr., retired associ-te justice of the Supreme Court of he United States, died yesterday morning at 9:20 o'clock at the Homeopathic Hospital, and his funeral will be held at 3 p. m. tomorrow from the residence of his son. Winfleld K. Shiras, 4S41 Ellsworth avenue. Interment will be in Allegheny Cemetery and will be private.

The Rev. Dr. D. R. Breed of the Western Theological Seminary will preach the funeral sermon and the pallbearers will be Judge Joseph Buffington of tne United States District Court of Appeals; Judge W. H. S. Thomson of the United States Cir- uit Court, Judge Robert S. Frazer and Judge W. D. Porter of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Judge J. J. Miller of the Allegheny County Orphans Court, Judge Joseph M. Swearingcn of the Common Pleas Court, Judge James H. Heed and Thomas Patterson, Edwin Z. Smith and Walter Lyon of the Allegheny rounty bar.
