LATROBE, Apr. 5 - Lieutenant Joseph K. Cook, 24, of New Alexandria, who entered the service with the National Guard unit here, has been reported killed in Germany while serving with General Patton's Third army.

Return Bodies Of District War Dead (excerpt)

Bodies of 7,572 Americans who lost their lives during the late war have been returned to the United States from Europe aboard the United States Army Transport Carroll Victory, according to the Department of the Army.

Armed forces dead originally interrred in temporary military cemeteries in France, Holland and Belgium are among those brought back.

Following is the list of the remains returned at the request of the next of kin throughout the Connellsville area:
