Local Deaths And Burials

Robert E. Simmons

Robert E. Simmons, age forty-four, died Saturday in Weehawken, N. J. He was born in Rhinecliff and lived there until the World War when he enlisted in Albany and served for eighteen months in Co. H., Second Pioneer Infantry. He was wounded several times. He was the son of the late Melvin and Kate Walsh Simmons.

Surviving are his mother and his wife, Mrs. Margaret Sullivan Simmons.

Funeral services were held Monday in Weehawken and burial took place Monday afternoon in Rhinebeck cemetery, where Montgomery Post, No. 429 of the American Legion officiated.
