My brother by Virginia Bowen

"My brother Buford seved his country in World War II as a fighter-pilot in the Army Air Corps. His B-2 was was shot down by German anti-aircroft over France. Buford was married to Jeannie Eva, and sadly he was lost only three days (Aug 7, 1944) before their daughter Naomi Jeanne was born. Buford and I had a very close relationship. We walked to school together, every day, and discussed many issues of life. As teenagers we attended church functions together, and participated in choir, church socials, the drama "In his Steps" and other church activitiees. We had many fun times together."
