Muese Argonne

Emory suffered from mustard gas he was exposed to while serving. During that time, the servicemen billeted into private homes. One morning, Emory told the farmer, boy I would love some bacon and eggs. the farmer put his forefinger to his mouth, to shush Emory, went to his fireplace, and untied a rope, which he let down, and lo and behold, there was a ham on the other end of the rope. The enemy troops stole all the food from the farmers they could. they didn't get THAT ham! Emory sure enjoyed breakfast that morning. :)
