Biographical Sketch

    Private Timothy Renew was born at Barnwell, South Carolina ca. 1820.[1]  He was married to Mary ca 1845.[2]  He enlisted March 28, 1862 at Gadsden County, Florida in Captain Davidson’s Company; he stated his age as 41.  He was listed as absent sick at Liberty County, Florida after his enlistment, and was rejected by an Inspecting Officer when the company was mustered into Confederate service on April 18th, 1862.[3] He died in Liberty County, Florida.
