George S. Patton

George S. Patton

World War II · US Army

George Patton was best known as a successful, if colorful and controversial, general in the European Theater of World War II. However, he had also previously served in the Army during the Pancho Villa Expedition (1916–1917) and World War I. He died at age 60, following a car crash, just months after the end of WWII.
