On Nov 2, 1960 Daddy received a commendation, Ribbon with Metal Pendant. Received it from Brigaider General Greydon C Essman, Post Commander. Army Chemical Center, Maryland.
After retirement, Willie often said how much he enjoyed his career in the Army and proud he was to have served. He felt it was his job to do what he did. He had many memories that he talked about and some that he wouldn’t discuss – but they all came together to make a man that stood tall for America and our freedoms.
