This is my grand-uncle John "Bill" Morris Denton 1915-1984 my mom, Robbie Ann (Pate) Carrington wrote this story about him:

Uncle Bill was my mother's brother. I think he was always there to take care of my mother. He and Uncle Dot (his twin brother) helped to raise their younger sisters. Uncle Bill thought he was mother’s protector. He was in WWII. I can remember when he came home from the service, I was about four years old and I saw him coming down the street and ran to meet him. He was as happy to see me as I was him.

When my mother and daddy moved to a rural part of Tennessee after their kids were grown, he didn’t think she needed to be way out there alone so he sold his house and moved there too. He was always around to help me paint or wallpaper or anything else we needed. He will always be missed.
