Former Lima Soldier Killed In Germany

Pvt. John A. Dalton, Jr., 30, formerly of Lima, has been reported killed in action Oct. 14 in Germany according to a War department message received by his wife, Lavada, of Mansfield. Pvt. Dalton had been overseas only a few weeks when his death occurred. He was a native of Mansfield, and a member of St. Peter's Catholic church in that city. While in Lima he was employed in the purchasing department of the Westinghouse.

Survivors in addition to the widow and three-year-old son, John, are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Dalton, and the following sisters and brothers: Lt. Mary Catherine Dalton in England; Lt. Robert, in the Philippines; Cpl. Richard in the South Pacific, William, Zita, Ann, Coletta and Constance of Mansfield, and Mildred, a cadet nurse at Charity hospital, Cleveland.
