on of Daniel Andrew Chamberlain (1858-1945) and his first wife, Unity C. V. Whitehead (b. 1865), of E. TN. In 1900, Jerry married Una C. (Unie) Meadows (1883-1962) in Blount Co. After living for several years in Hamblen Co., TN, Jerry and Unie moved to Knoxville, TN, where they eventually settled. They were the parents of four daughters: Kathleen; Elizabeth (Lizzie); Minnie; and Helen. For many years, the Chamberlain family--both parents and daughters--worked in the Brookside Mills, a textile manufacturing company that was located in Knoxville.
