Arba Elmore Snow born December 24, 1898 a home birth in Clinton County near Forest, Indiana. He was born mid-afternoon, his parents then moved to Prairie Township, Tipton County, Indiana. Arba attended school at Evans, Edward, and Zion one room schools, and three years at Sharpsville High School. In 1918, he enlisted in the US Navy, served 18 months on the USS Susquehanna, a hospital ship, to and from France, during World War I. The war ended, and he returned home to farm in Cass County for four years, then moving to Prairie Township, Tipton County for seven years, then moving to Liberty Township, Tipton County where he became a landowner. He farmed and worked as a laborer and carpenter until he retired from work. Arba married Hattie Orletta Martin, June 12, 1921 in Tipton, Indiana at the home of the bride and are the parents of three sons and one daughter. After he retired he moved to Punta Gorda, Florida.
