Rest in Peace Brother..............

and neighbor Kansan.

Thank you Lt. for your service to this great nation and to our Corps...

I pray that our heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. Yours very sincerely and respectfully, Abraham Lincoln."    The Fallen Limb A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.  The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.  Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.  My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we're together again.           I'M FREE    Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,  I'm following the path God laid for me.  I took His hand when I heard Him call,  I turned my back and left it all.  I could not stay another day,  To laugh, to love, to work or play.  Tasks left undone must stay that way,  I found that peace at the close of the day.  If my parting has left a void,  Then fill it with remembered joy.  A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,  Ah yes, these things I too will miss.  But be not burdened with times of sorrow,  For I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.  My life's been full. I've savored much,  Good friends, good times and loved ones'  touch.  Perhaps my time seemed all to o brief  Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.  Lift up your hearts and share with me.  God wanted me now. He set me free!
