William John Day, Seattle Sailor Dies in Action

     William John Day, 21 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Day of 4100 Aurora Ave., was killed in action in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.  According to word received by the parents last night.

     Word of the casualty came from the Navy Department at Washington, D.C.

     Day, a seaman, second class, enlisted in the navy in Seattle in August 1940.  Born in Seattle, he had lived here all his life, attending Greenwood Grammer School and Lincoln High School.  The Days have two other children, Betty, 19 and Eleanor, 15.
