(ROANOKE) Services for Morris Simpson, 84, of Roanoke were Saturday, Dec. 1,
2007, at 1 p.m. at Harmony Methodist Church, with the Rev. Hal Simpson
officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Simpson died Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Randolph Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Garrett Simpson of Roanoke; four
sisters, Dessie Dodgen of Roanoke, Kate Grant and Katie Cook of LaGrange, Ga.,
and Janelle Adair; and two brothers, Euris and Jim Simpson of LaGrange.
Pallbearers were Dale Lovvorn, Chuck Tucker, Jack Simpson, Billy Fred
Lipham, Tommy Dodgen, Braxton Garrett and Nicky Simpson.
Mr. Simpson was born Feb. 24, 1923, son of J.W. and Katie Cofield Simpson.
He was a member of Harmony Methodist Church, a farmer and cattle farmer. Mr.
Simpson had served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his
parents; one daughter, Judy Simpson; and one son, Paul ?Steve? Simpson.
