Private; Capt. Samuel Richard's Co., Col. John Stark's Regt.; enlisted Apr. 23, 1776; 3 months, 16 days; Capt. Benjamin Stone's Co., Col. Alexander Scammel's Regt.; enlisted May, 1777; Northern New York. Engaged in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Captain Richards' Company, which marched from Goffstown on the 23rd of April (1775), now formed a part of Colonel Stark's Regiment at Medford. This regiment took a very important part in the engagement of that day. Stark's Regiment sustained a loss, killed and wounded, of sixty men. The hihghest of any regiment engaged save one, Colonel Prescott's, which had forty-three killed and forty-six missing.</div>
