LEWISTOWN - Floyd A. "Red" Ginger, 70, of 421 N. Cedar St. passed away at 5:03 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton.

He was born June 28, 1936, at Ray, Ill., the son of Joseph and Ellen (McKinley) Ginger. He married Patsy Thrasher on Jan. 20, 1956, at Bryant.

She survives with two sons, Eddy (Sandra) Ginger of Lewistown and Michael (Marie) Ginger of Lewistown; one daughter, Cindy (Mike) Duvall of Springfield; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Ginger of Canton and Danny Ginger of Murphysboro, Tenn.; and three sisters, Norma Edwards of Lewistown, Barbara Douglas of Canton and Phyllis Hogan of Madisonville, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He owned and operated Red Ginger's Auto Body in Lewistown for many years before retiring.

He was a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church, Fulton County Genealogy Society, Alligators Club and the Bowling Congress Hall of Fame.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation. A graveside service with interment of ashes will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lewistown Rescue Squad.
