Memorial services for Robert C. Olson, 65, of La Jolla, were Aug. 28 in St.
James-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. Cremation was planned by the Telophase
Society, with ashes to be scattered at sea. He died Aug. 25 in a hospital.

Mr. Olson was a native of Omaha, Neb., lived in the county 41 years and was
a retired self-employed real estate broker. He was a member of the La Jolla
Real Estate Brokers Association and served on its board for several years.

He was also a member of Al Bahr Shrine Temple, the Temple Guard and the
Optimist Club and was a Little League coach for several years. He was an Army
Air Force veteran of World War II and attended Iowa State College.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Terri Normann of San
Diego and Dee Dee Prideaux of Graham, Texas; a son, Robert, of Colorado
Springs, Colo.; a brother, Orville, of Omaha; a sister, Virginette, of La Jolla;
and seven grandchildren.

The family suggested donations to the church's memorial fund or to a
favorite charity.

Deceased Name: Robert C. Olson
Robert Calvin Olson, 65, a La Jolla real estate broker and past member of
the board of the La Jolla Real Estate Association, died Aug. 25 in Scripps
Memorial Hospital. He had lived in La Jolla since 1946.

Memorial services were held in St. James by the Sea Episcopal Church.
Cremation was planned. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. James by the Sea
Episcopal Church Memorial Fund or to favorite philanthropies.

Mr. Olson, a native of Omaha, Neb., studied at Iowa State University before
joining the Air Force in World War II.

He was a Mason, a member of Al Bahr Shrine Temple and Temple Guard. He also
was a member of the La Jolla Optimist Club and had coached Little League
baseball in La Jolla.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Robert L. Olson of Colorado
Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Terri Norman of San Diego and Deedee Prideaux of
Graham, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a brother and sister, Orville A.
Olson Jr. of Omaha, Neb., and Virginette Olson of La Jolla.
