It's really cool to see my Dad's "details": now, all we need is an anecdote or two!!! Ted's (Fred's) family was German on his mother's side, and English, Welsh, Irish, and, possibly, Dutch, on his Father's side. I will admit that, after searching for over 10 years, my Aunt (Ted's sister), my sister and myself have hit that provebial "brickwall" when researching this COLE family line!!! The men of my Dad's family were very elusive and did NOT want to be found! EVER! Ted's sister, Vonnie, believed that there was Mohawk Indian somewhere in their bloodline, but was never able to verify it before she passed away in 2002. I've tried, but can't find anything either. My Dad knew every bird's song, every flower, tree, insect, had a very "natural" relationship with animals and tanned too well in the summer - especially for being of European descent! He was a veteran of WW2 and the Korean war. And was a retiree of B.F.Goodrich in or around 1990. And, allow me to finish with: He was THE MOST intelligent man I had ever met - to this day!!! Can't wait to get hunting here at Footnote.com! Wish me luck!!!
