"Ordered that the following declaration affidavit and Schedule be admitted to record having been first sworn to in open Court

Original Claim

District of Kentucky, Hardin County [to wit:]

On this 20th day of June 1820 personally appeared in open court being a court of record for the District and County aforesaid Jacob Linder aged sixty five years who being first duly sworn according to law doth on his oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the pension made by the acts of Congress of the 18th March 1818 and the 1st May 1820 that he the said Jacob Linder enlisted for the Army nine months in August 1776 in the State of Maryland in the company commanded by Captain John Reynolds in the 3rd regiment of footmen commanded by Colonel Griffin in the line of the State of Maryland on the continental establishment that he continued to serve in the said Corps until the month of April 1777 that he was then detached into the company commanded by Captain [space] Bailey in the same said regiment in which I also served nine months I was then discharged on the Delaware river in the state of Pennsylvania in [space] County by General [space] Sullivan I served as first sergeant during the first nine months part of the other and about three of the last months as ensign That he was in the battles of Long Island on York Island white plains then at the taking of the Hessians at trenton N. Jersey and that he has no other evidence now in his power of his said services except what has already been sent on to the war department

And in pursuance of the Act of the 1st May 1820 I do solemnly swear or affirm that I was a resident citizen of the United States on the 18th day of March one thousand eight hundred and eighteen and that I have not since that time by gift sale or in any manner disposed of my property or any part thereof with intent thereby so to diminish it as to bring myself within the provisions of an act of Congress entitled an act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and naval service of the United States in the revolutionary war passed on the 18th day of March one thousand eight hundred and eighteen and that I have not nor has any person in trust for me any property or security contracts or debts due to me nor have I any income other than what is contained in the schedule hereto annexed and by me subscribed viz one cow five sheep and six hogs My occupation is farming but am so much afflicted with rheumaticf?] pains as to almost entirely disable me for working I have a wife named Elizabeth aged sixty one years and one daughter named Cilia aged seventeen years

Jacob Linder Sworn to and declared on the 20th day of June 1820 before Saml Haycraft Jr Clerk Hardin Circuit Court

The Court is of opinion that the total amount in value of the foregoing schedule of property is twenty seven Dollars"
