Carole E. Boutiette, 49, of 392 Providence Road, South Grafton died Saturday, November 10, 2007 at home after a brave struggle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Whitinsville, MA December 16, 1957 to H. Kenneth and Jeannette (Cadrin) Boutiette and is survived by her six brothers and sisters who cared for her during her illness and loved her so dearly: Ann-Marie (Boutiette) Kelly, Diane (Boutiette) and Michael J. Clements, Paul K. and Pauline Boutiette, Peter L. and Deborah Boutiette, John R. and Deborah Boutiette and Kenneth H. F. and Susan Boutiette; also many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Carole graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and worked in managerial positions at Data General, TEKRA Corporation and Radio Detection Corp. of Bridgton, ME where she made her home for the last few years before her illness. Her passions were snowshoeing, canoeing, downhill skiing, backpacking and hiking in the White Mountains that she loved so much. She was an avid musician, playing both the guitar and the piano. She was also an artist who worked recently in watercolors and she loved gardening with her flowers, and having fun being with her family and friends.

She was the inspiration behind Team Carole, which was part of the UMass. Medical “Walk for the Cure” in September, which succeeded in raising nearly $10, 000 for cancer research for UMass Medical in Worcester. All are invited to calling hours on Monday, November 12th from 5 to 8 pm in Roney Funeral Homes - North Chapel, 152 Worcester St. (Rt 122 & 140 ) in North Grafton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 13th at 10 am in her Parish Church of St. James, 89 Main St. (Rt 122A) in South Grafton. She will then be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery.
