LEWISTOWN, IL - Kenneth R. Shelby, 86, died at 5:20 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.

He was born on September 10, 1925, in Liverpool to Floyd and Vada (Hoffman) Shelby. They preceded him in death. He married Alice L. Overcash on March 29, 1949 in Fairview. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Dale (Debbie) Shelby of Lewistown, Gary (Marjie) Shelby of Fairview, David (Joyce) Shelby of Lewistown, six grandchildren Ben (Kristin), Troy (Brandi), Jeff (Emily), Ryan (Ming), Tyler, Eric (Taylor Ortgiesen and six Great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by one great granddaughter Emma Jo.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Army. He was a lifelong farmer and was a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau. He also was a past Director of Spoon River Electric and was a member of the Maples Mill United Methodist Church.

Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
