Lewistown-Gerald E. Kinnamon, 85, of Lewistown, passed away at 8:04 PM Wednesday November 2, 2011 at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born January 2, 1926 at Ipava, the son of Walter and Gladys (Ebbert) Kinnamon. He married Leola Johnson and she died October 28,1958. He later married Martha Hoffman on April 2, 1960 at Mason City. She died December 29, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are three sons, Jerry Kinnamon of Lewistown, Randy Kinnamon of Lewistown, and Mike (Chris) Kinnamon of Dunfermline, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 sister, Vonee (Jack) Davis of Lewistown.

Gerald managed and operated Kinnamon Service Station in Lewistown from 1946-1995. He was a WW 2 Army veteran serving in the 16th Armored Company D 5th Tank Battalion. He was a life member of Lewistown VFW Post 5001, a life member of Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1, he was a 33rd degree Mason and a 50 year member of Lewistown Lodge 104 AF & AM, Mohammed Shrine, Scottish Rite Valley of Peoria, and Lewistown Optimist Club.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday Nov. 7, 2011 at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Reverend Ray Greenfield officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with military honors conducted by his VFW and American Legion posts.
