Lt Paul W Lingrel, Commissioned Bombardier for the 321st Bomb Group, 447th Bomb Squad flew across the Atlantic in the [now famous] Gen Bob Knapp Flight-Over, Feb. 1943. An Atlantic crossing, the Southern Route in MASS without loss.

_Lt Lingrel waas a BIG guy, perfectly made, just huge so his nich name was "Big Moose" which was painted under the Bombardier's window on his B-25, the "Alley Cat" #41-13176…. Shot-up and shot-down on Combat Mission __ July, 1945 and her Pilot, Lt John "Buster" Burns managed to limp his stricken ship (with one casuality, Turret Gunner James Woody who was KIA after he got a ME 109!) back to a friendly area and belly landed on the beach at Bone (N. Africa) There were over 200 holes counted in this ship…._
