William Coram, Commander in Chief's Guard

illiam Coram (1756-1821) holds the distinction of having served in General Washington's Commander-in-Chief's Guard from the date of the unit's creation in 1777 until it was disbanded in 1783 at the end of the American Revolutionary War. He died in 1821 in Warren County, Georgia, and is buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in that county.
