Resources for Further Research

In his will, made 14 April 1791, Aaron Loocock left his wife Mary a lifetime estate in his plantation in Goose Creek and his house in Charleston. He also left her 23 slaves.

He bequeathed his plantation in Richland District to his nephew William Clarkson. He also left slaves to his nephews William and A.L. Clarkson.

His estate was the subject of a lawsuit argued in the Chancery Court of South Carolina in July of 1796. You can read the full text of that lawsuit here.
