My great-great-grandfather, John Wesley Dunkle, and his twin brother George Washington Dunkle drilled wells in their native Pennsylvania, Canada, California, and Texas. This page documents their unsung role in the Ranger, Texas oil boom in the 1910s. I want to also track how the oil industry kept their families moving across North America.
