CARL FEASTER

PETERSBURG, W.Va. -- Carl Feaster, 66, of Grant County who had lived in recent years in Fayetteville, Pa., died yesterday morning in a hospital in Chambersburg, Pa. He had been in ill health about one year.

Born November 3, 1899, in Grant County, he was a son of the late Philip and [Anna] Blanche (Smith) Feaster. He was postmaster in the Grant County community of Arthur for a number of years until his retirement in July 1963.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Virginia (Bobo) Feaster; one step-daughter, Mrs. David B. Reasner, Jr., Fayetteville; one son, Warren C. Feaster, Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna May of Maysville [WV], and Mrs. Esta McGinnis [McKinnon], Gordon, Neb.; two brothers, Stanley Feaster of Somerset, Pa., and [Clarence] Newton Feaster of Lahmansville [WV], and two step-granddaughters [step-grandsons].

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Carmel E.U.B. [Evangelical United Brethren] Church at Arthur with Rev. Harding Nelson officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

The body will be brought to the Schaffer Funeral Home here today. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. Saturday.

The body will remain at the funeral home until noon Sunday. The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Sunday.
