Boston Port closed after controversial parliament act.

In a controversial act, on Mar. 31, 1774, the Boston Port Act was ratified.  The act ordered the Boston Port to be closed, representing the insistent dominion of the King of England over American colonial affairs.  This action was one of many that pushed the Patriots towards revolution.
