On Mar. 26, 1942, the most infamous Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz, received its first female prisoners. The camp became notorious for the drastic measures taken to eradicate the Jewish population, and hatred was particularly targeted towards women and children. The Holocaust was the most inhumane act to come from World War Two.
