Our dear, sweet, perfect, loving mother, and grandmother, Helen Frances Kamm Hatch, age 89, stepped through the veil March 10, 1995 and joined her beloved husband Jesse. Her daughters took her to Cottonwood Hospital where she died.

She was born March 2, 1906 to John B. Kamm and Effie M. Caldwell in Pekin, Illinois. Helen and Jesse met in Hiawatha, Utah and were married in Jacksonville, Illinois, July 24, 1923. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1936. They settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their nine children were born and raised there.A convert to the LDS Church, she served in many capacities including Relief Society President, and Secretary of the Eastern Atlantic States Mission. Her missionaries still call her "Mom". She especially loved children. Her Sunday School and Primary children flocked around her. She loved America, was a Gold Star Mother, and was an active member of the Daughters of American Revolution.

Survivors: Nancy and Arden Scott, Orem, Utah; Marilyn and Norman Kuch, La Crescenta, California; Senator Orrin and Elaine Hatch, Vienna, Virginia; Frances and Alvin Merrill, Salt Lake City, Utah; Jessica and Norman Cluff, Orem, Utah; 39 grandchildren; 92 great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by sons, Jesse, and Kenneth; daughters, Helen Hatch, and Chloe Rosenhan; brother, Henry Kamm.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 1995, at 11:00 a.m. in the Midvale East Third LDS Ward Chapel, 87 East 7100 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
