In the name of God Aman. I, Simpson Linder, in the State and District aforesaid, planter, being of sound disposed mind, and memory by calling to mind that you appointed unto man once to die do make this my Last Will and Testament.  First of all I commend my soul to God who gave it, and my body to the dust from whence it came to by buried decently at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter mentioned.

Item 1st. I will and bequeath that my beloved wife, Sarah Linder, keep my children together with the use of my property, and as they become twenty-one years of ages, she, my wife, Sarah Linder, shall give each one $2,000.00 worth of property to be valued to them by three disinterested men of good judgment.

After the youngest child becomes of age my wish, will and desire is that my estate be equally divided amongst all my children and wife, my wife taking an equal share with them, share and share alike, and should she survive my children VIZ: Willis Lee, Robert Plesant, Erastus, Henry Christenberry, Mary Etta, Luanna, and Sarah Lilian, seven in number and should my wife, Sarah Linder, die before my youngest child becomes twenty-one years old I do hereby fully empower any or all of my sons above named to carry out my Will by equally dividing my Estate by three disinterested men, share and share alike.

And lastly I hereby name, constitute and appoint my wife, Sarah Linder, Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.  In witness, whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this the 15th day of November, A.D. 1862.
