Paul Raymond Hennessey, son of Joseph James Hennessey and Bridget (Frances) R. McHugh, was born 11 July 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts. Paul was raised and educated in Quincy schools and was a graduate of Boston College High School, Class of 1945. Paul had two sisters, Mary Virginia Hennessey Licari and Patricia Michael Hennessey Downing.

Paul entered military service in 1945 as a member of the United States Navy and served in both Word War II and the Korean War. Upon discharge, Paul went on to obtain his graduate degree from Boston College in 1950. He was a proud "Double Eagle".

Paul joined Insulfab of New England as a Salesman and went on to enjoy a long career with them until his early retirement in 1987.

Paul met the love of his life, Sally Walsh of South Boston and they married on 03 November 1956. After honeymooning in Bermuda, they returned to their first apartment on Lenoxdale Avenue in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Paul was soon to be the proud Father of Joseph Martin Hennessey, born 1957; Mary Patricia Hennessey, born 1958; Paul Gerard Hennessey, born 1959; Thomas Francis Hennessey, born 1961; Sally Marie Hennessey, born 1965; John Stephen Hennessey, born 1966.

In 1959, to accommodate their growing family, Paul and Sally bought their home at 66 Amherst Road, Braintree, Massachusetts. They found the perfect neighborhood within walking distance of St. Clare's Church and Liberty Elementary School and South Junior Middle School. They met their lifelong friends and neighbors, Walter and Teddy Kirkland, on the day they closed on their new home.

Paul was a devoted member of the St. Clare's Holy Name Society. He was also an avid bowler and an avid golfer. He was so skilled he once scored a hole-in-one!

Paul became a grandfather when his son Paul and daughter-in-law Elaine Cahill Hennessey welcomed Danielle Marie Hennessey into this world in 1988.

A few months later, Paul and his wife Sally beamed with pride when their firstborn, Joseph Martin Hennessey, was ordained a Catholic Priest into the Archdiocese of Boston.

Paul passed from this life far too early on 30 December 1988 at the young age of 61. Paul died very unexpectantly during heart bypass surgery. He left a grieving family who will always remember him as a kind, funny, gentle soul who was the best husband and father in the world. Paul is also survived by his son-in-law, Paul Mabey, and his daughters-in-law, Elaine Cahill Hennessey and Susan Oullette Hennessey. He was loved greatly and is missed greatly.
