Sale of Harrietta Plantation and 93 Slaves, Estate of Harriott Rutledge, SC, 1859

In January and February of 1859, Harrietta Plantation in McClellanville, Georgetown, SC was sold from the estate of Harriott Rutledge. 93 enslaved ancestors there were sold as well; purchasers included S.D. Doar, Joseph Blythe Alston, E. Lucas Rutledge, Harriet Horlbeck and Miss E. Lucas.
