Mosley, Aunt Nancy

Died Aug. 15, 1905 age 85, born July 13 1829. Died at her home in the Carroll Community. Mother of 6 girls and 6 boys. Aunt of Lige Allen ofthe Carroll Community and a great aunt of L.A. Cox of Tyler. Joined Baptist church in 1845 in Henry County, Georgia. Moved Smith County in 1858.

TRIBUTE OF RESPECT

In the dispensation of all wise providence it has pleased God to remove to her eternal home Mrs. Nancy Moseley. She closed her eyes in blessed sleep on the evening of August 15, 1905. She was born July 13th,1820. She joined the Baptist church in 1845 in Henry County, Georgia. Flint River Church. Moved to Smith County, Texas in 1858 and has been one of members who organized Dover Church near Carrol in 1867 and has been a member of the church ever since. She prayed that her children meet her in Heaven. During her last hours. She was the mother of 12 children: Six boys and six girls. Hours of bereavement, sympathy offriends warm the heart and temper the sorrow. Be it resolved that we extend to Bro. Starling Moseley and family our heart felt sympathy in this hour of their greatest grief and that we invoke upon them the divine blessings. May the light of her beautiful life brighten their pathway until they join her forever in God's eternal city and may we all be impressed with the inevitable end awaiting everyone. A bridge to cross,each for himself. We can have no substitute to answer death's summons. Each must die for himself but praise unto him who has robbed death of it's sting and dispelled it's fear and pain and that in God's infinite love some where we may sweetly live again. Resolved further that a copy of this resolution be given to brother Starling Moseley and family.
