It's been a long time but Charlie is still in my memory. My wife and I just left visiting the NC Vietnam Veterans Memorial and looking at the name of Charlie Gray brought back a lot of memories from high school. I remember Charie and his family very well. Charlie use to deliver the Grit newspaper to my family and he was such an honest fellow, always full of smiles and lots to say. We rode the same bus to school for a long time. Hate to say but I haven't kept up with many friends from school but I have always remembered Charlie.

Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

I met Charlie upon my arrival at the 25th Division in April of 1966. We became the best of friends, and even though I only knew him for a few months before his death on the 28th of July, he is in my thoughts always. It has been 34 years and these scars still haven't healed. REST IN PEACE my friend.

Hey, Charlie here it is 34 yrs. later and I remember it like it happened yesterday. I guess that this pain will remain with me for the rest of my life. The summer of 1966 was the worst time of my life because I lost my two best friends Trunkhahn on May 15th and you on the 24th of July. I'm now 55 yrs. old and a Grandfather, how I wish that you guys had experienced the joys of grandsons. I miss you daily and think of that tragic day constantly and think about your family and how they must miss you. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND. LOPEZ
