William Halley, 63

MAYS LANDING-William A Halley, 63 of 658 Park Road died Wednesday at Atlantic City Medical Center’s Mainland Division. He was born in Girard, Kan., and was an area resident for 29 years. He was a retired electronic technician at NAFEC and had been a senior chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War 11 and the Korean War.

Mr. Halley was a member of the Naval Fleet Reserve, St. Vincent de Paul Church and the church counsel, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 430 of Galloway Township and the Mays Landing Sportsmen’s Club.

Surviving are his wife, Cecelia, a son, William J. of Mays Landing, two daughters, Joan Rotellini of Egg Harbor City and Sonya Sorrentino of Geneva Fla; four sisters, Frances Rothrock and Ruth Gates, both of Twin Falls, Idaho, Virginia Reithman of Boisie, Idaho, and Ann Keel of Birmingham, Ala; and 12 grandchildren.
