Participated in the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House at Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
Following the Battle of the Wilderness, Lieut. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant marched the Union army south with the hope of capturing Spotsylvania Court House and preventing Robert E.
