Recent discoveries in Civil War Service Index - Union - Pennsylvania
William W. Wood and his cousin William Murphy Wood both enlisted in Company "B" of the 155th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. The cards for William M. and William W have been mixed together. William Murphy Wood transferred to the 2nd US Cavalry and sought to obtain a pension. William W. served till the end of the war in the 155th and was promoted to Corporal.
