This form records his Rank as "Wait". Other documents report he was a "Servant". I don't know if the rank was an abbreviation for "waiter". This form also records his unit as 1st Tenn Light Artillery of African Descent (Art A.D.). Other sources report he was a member of the 13 Tennessee Cavalry.steve_cole commented on this image.
