Hi, by chance I came over this document. The "Hofheimer Werkkunst" had been run by my father, Franz Fritzen, who also signed that letter (under "HOFHEIMER WERKKUNST Bildarchiv", to be read as "Fritzen"). The signature under "Empfehlung" and over "Diözesanjugendseelsorger" is not reading "Willy Becker" but "Willy Bokler". This man, a catholic priest, had been active in resistance against Nazis ...more

My neighbor was a Land Army Girl in Flintshire District, Mold, North Wales, and worked at the Munitions Depot in Rhydmwyn filling canisters of Mustard Gas. I wrote London & she rec'd a Medal for her service, a year later she passed away. We Miss Her!
